Position Overview
The Concierge is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests by assisting with various requests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay or experience. This role requires a high level of communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to ensure all guest needs are met promptly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Provide personalized service to guests, including booking reservations, arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, and addressing any other special requests.
  • Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns, complaints, and special needs in a timely and effective manner, ensuring that they have a positive experience.
  • Event Planning Assistance: Assist with arrangements for special events, such as birthday celebrations, anniversaries, meetings, or corporate functions.
  • Local Expertise: Offer recommendations on local dining, entertainment, and sightseeing options, ensuring guests have an authentic and enjoyable experience.
  • Coordination with Other Departments: Work closely with other hotel or facility departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, etc.) to fulfill guest requests.
  • Guest Interaction: Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guests feel valued and well-cared-for at all times.
  • Reservation Management: Make and manage reservations for dining, transportation, and entertainment, adventures, spa treatments, ensuring all details are accurate and timely.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, local events, and promotions, and ensure the concierge desk is organized and stocked with necessary materials.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure the safety of guests by being aware of their whereabouts, special needs, and any safety procedures in place.
  • Adherence to Policies and Standards: Follow company policies, procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Any other tasks assigned. 
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional hospitality-related education or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred (e.g., front desk, guest services, or concierge).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of local attractions, dining, and events is an advantage.
    • Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and diplomacy.
  • Language: Additional languages are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with concierge software and hotel management systems is preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
