POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Bartenders help shape the heart of the guest experience by providing thoughtful, knowledgeable, and engaging beverage service.
You’ll prepare and present cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages while supporting the restaurant team and helping create a polished but welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of Sorrel River Ranch.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
- Set up the bar each day, ensuring beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, glassware, and supplies are fully stocked and ready for service.
- Prepare fresh juices, fruits, garnishes, syrups, and other ingredients.
- Mix and present cocktails and beverages consistently and beautifully.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the bar menu, wines, spirits, beers, and ingredients.
- Answer guest questions and make thoughtful beverage recommendations.
- Accurately enter orders and charges through the TOAST POS system.
- Handle guest checks, payments, and billing with care and accuracy.
- Support the restaurant team with food service, hosting, and other guest-service needs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, polished, and guest-ready bar throughout the shift.
- Follow all state, federal, and Sorrel River Ranch alcohol-service requirements.
- Follow responsible alcohol-service practices and use good judgment at all times.
- Complete end-of-shift closing duties, including securing beverages and equipment, cleaning, restocking, and organizing the bar.
- Communicate effectively with servers, culinary, management, and other departments.
- Help fellow team members deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Remain flexible and step into other areas of the operation when the ranch needs you.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or similar environment.
- Experience with fine-dining or luxury-service standards preferred.
- General knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Food Handler certification required.
- Alcohol Awareness certification required.
- Familiarity with TOAST POS preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
