Position Overview
A Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually
appealing through various landscaping and maintenance tasks.
Position Responsibilities
- Landscape Maintenance: Mow lawns, trim hedges, plant flowers, and maintain gardens to ensure aesthetic appeal.
- Cleaning Duties: Remove debris, trash, and litter from outdoor areas, including pathways, parking lots, and recreational spaces.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools and machinery, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Irrigation Management: Repair or replace irrigation systems and ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Seasonal Tasks: Assist with snow removal during winter months and prepare outdoor areas for seasonal change
- Collaboration: Work with property managers or maintenance supervisors to address landscapig needs and report any maintenance concerns.
- Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, ability to push and pull carts and equipment.
